Word of the Year *BEST PRACTICES* (IMO)
I'll share with you some of the ways you can support yourself to embody your word of the year.

Prioritize Journaling Daily (*)
Use your journal and make it a priority to write in it daily (or as often as you realistically can!), either in the form of a question and answer, such as:
Example: "How can I choose _______ today?"
Or you can write in the form of an affirmation:
"I embody ________ every day."
For example, with my word being surrender, I can ask myself, "How can I consciously choose surrender today?" or I can work with an affirmation like "I release control when I feel myself grasping for it. I remember what's in my control and what's not. Releasing control feels so good. I surrender to what is out of my control and feel the lightness from it."
The variations are endless. Look for my upcoming journaling workshop on this.
*Lastly, when I say prioritize daily, I am NOT saying beat yourself up if you only do it 3-4 times/week. Remember, progress over perfection. Doing it even ONCE a week is better than none. You will, however, like anything, see results sooner the more frequently you work with your word-of-the-year.

Share your Word with Others
Tell someone! Make a video and share it with your friends and family. Tell your bestie. Having an accountability partner is huge!
According to the American Society of Training and Development:
"People are 65% more likely to meet a goal after committing to another person [an accountability partner]. Their chances of success increase to 95% when they build in ongoing meetings with their partners to check in on their progress."
- Barrett Wissman at Entrepreneur Media LLC.

Make a Visual Representation of your Word
Create a visual representation for your word of the year - any way that reminds you to embody it. Maybe it's as simple as finding a printout. Search for a sticker that involves the word you choose to add to your laptop or water bottle.
OR do what I did and make a bracelet with your word of the year!

I made my own customizable Word-of-the-Year bracelet with Mint & Lily. To take advantage of Mint & Lily's Buy One Get One 50% Off deal, and create your own Word-of-the-Year bracelets, click HERE.
Most of all, don't get discouraged.
Don't get discouraged with yourself if you forget for a few days or fall out of a certain practice. The most important thing to remember is that you can also get back into it again. Progress ALWAYS over perfection.
Share in the comments your word of the year! I cannot wait to see yours and cheer you on along the way!
See below a link to some of my favorite journals!

My favorite smaller journal: https://amzn.to/47Ad2Kj

My favorite large journal: https://amzn.to/3vAzTs1
BOTH journals come in LOTS of colors. I have the smaller one in my favorite color and I have the larger one in a bright sunny yellow (which just makes me happy looking at it!)
Have you seen my first blog post: How to Create Your Word-of-the Year (Part 1)?
If not, definitely read THIS so you know how to choose your word. It is so important that this word resonates with you so that you can make your embodiment process a consistent practice of yours this year. 🤗
